The young man grabbing a backside air in this photo is named David and he is a student at Booker T. Washington Magnet School in Montgomery. They have a photo-program there and the kids produce some great work. He told me he got into photography by looking at skateboard magazines and taking photos of his friends skating(sorta how I got into it 20 years ago). So I got my camera out to try and show him some cool stuff you can do with blurs and flash. Skateboarding is one of the most fun things you can shoot regardless of wheter you are into it or not. It makes a lot of room for creativity with things like this and I love shooting it. Posted by Picasa

Cool shot Dave. How did you do it. Slow shutter sync?
