Helmetcam!!!!!!
Last week I was waiting on an order of Seseme Tofu at China King. With 15 minutes to kill I walked into Wolf Camera and checked out the clearance table, and saw an Oregon Scientific Helmetcam for $19.75. Had to have it. The quality really is bad, I've seen cell phones this good. I sure wouldn't have paid the original retail price of $120, but for $20 it's a fun toy if I break it next week.
This is my first decent video, the camera taped to the bottom of my deck for a run on my ramp. I have an idea for this camera that is going to be really funny, but that will come after I improvise a fisheye lens and dog-collar mount.

That's awesome. You could also get two of them and have one showing you. Then put them together in the same video. Be fun to see two perspectives of a ride.
If they had more in stock I would have bought them all. I figure I could get at least $40 for it on eBay if I had not opened the package, but this was the first model Oregon Scientific produced and they are on #5 now. Though it seems the second one is the best seller due to cost. All the later models can go underwater.
My next project is to make a fisheye with an old door peephole I have in the barn, and the main thing I have been waiting for is Edgarcam, I did put it on his collar the night I got it but I need to make a mount that points it in the direction he is looking.

A great find at an awesome bargain. Can't wait to see the EDGARCAM in action!
