Riding Pike Road

Saturday morning Mary and I went for a road ride. It was her first time on her bike for a while as she has been running a lot. This is on Pike Road. Just down the road there were huge flocks of blackbirds. The weather is warming up, but was still a little cool this weekend.

Dual-Suspension!

I just got this new frame on Ebay. It is a 2001 Giant NRS full-suspension mountain bike frame, which will put the Specialized Rockhopper in retirement. More photos will be coming in a couple weeks when I have time to build it. I have to get a integrated headset and a couple other things, but more than anything I'll need time.

Back in the Good Ol' Days!

This photo was taken somewhere around 1992. I think it may have been the last time I actually got the ol 20" bike out and went dirt jumping, although I did take it to the local skatepark one day last year. The jumps were near the old BMX track in Lagoon Park. It was a ditch that you into and jumped out of launching off an old metal sliding board that was layed on the side of the ditch. Photo was taken by Daniel Crabtree. Posted by Hello

Marathon Girl

Mary ran in the Mercedes Marathon Sunday. She was running with a group from the vet school to raise money for cancer research. To learn more about it or contribute to the cause refer to this previous post.

This is a sign on the side of the Team In Training tent. Team In Training is an organization that raises money for cancer and MS research through cycling, running and triathlon events.

ASU vs. A&M

I love shooting Panoramics. This is something I did at work during the ASU vs. A&M game Saturday night. It's a series of images I shot with my D1H and stitched to gether.

Mountain-Biking in Tuskegee

Another shot from Tuskegee. It's a lot harder to hold the camera on the mountain bike than on the road! The trail there is fun, but it lacks excitement. Still the best place for me to ride as it's right down the street from Mary's place more or less.

Saturday I went mountain biking in Tuskegee National Forest. This is on one of the Forest Service roads that connect the trails. Posted by Hello

Big Warm Puppy Dog!

This is Ileya modeling her Valentine's Day present, a new fleece-lined winter jacket made by Ruffwear. I know Valentine’s isn't until Monday, but she can't read the Gregorian calendar anyhow.

BIke Ride around Auburn, 2-5-2005

Saturday, February 5th was a beautiful day. I rode outside the Auburn area, did around 40-something miles. The field in the background is around 8 miles from Mary's house. The color of the sunlight being reflected off the grass was amazingly golden-yellow.

By the way if anyone finds it odd that I like to take photos of myself why I’m on the bike I would like to explain. I am not one to write real well however so I’ll include a link to my friend Thinh Nyugen’s blog. He summed it up perfectly as he does similar things:

Well-put Thinh.

Airsoft Wars

Saturday was Billy's birthday, there was a party for him at his friend Ethel's house. I got him an airsoft gun so we can have airgun wars. It's pretty cool, even has a laser sight. Unfortunatly mine got broken during the initial battle, but I'll be back! Happy birthday dude. Posted by Hello
